Continuous renovations are being done to the rooms, the hotel is old and will be demolished due to the mining company LKAB, in an undefined time span aprox. 10 years from now.

In a couple of years, a new hotel in the new city center will be built, we will continue with both hotels during a couple of years.

Lapland´s Scandic Ferrum in central Kiruna offers 7 flexible conference rooms for conferences, meetings and events of up to 135 people. For larger events such as trade fairs or conventions of up to 400 people, we work in partnership with Folkets Hus, which is connected to our hotel.

When you stay at Scandic Ferrum, Kiruna´s sights are right on your doorstep, with many unique activities that can be combined with your conference. Grab the opportunity and experience a dog sledge or snowmobile ride, go skiing or visit the world´s largest underground mine. In the summer you can fish, canoe or play golf in the midnight sun.

In some of the meeting rooms: stage podium, sound equipment, headset, handheld mic, dimming are optional.
