Commercial air service is available daily from Northwest Airlink through Detroit Metropolitan Airport and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. From there a ferry will take you over to Mackinac Island. ## Mackinac Island Airport: (N) The Mackinac Island Airport has a 3,500 foot, lighted, paved runway, capable of handling private and charter aircraft. The airport is located just one mile from Grand Hotel. Horse-drawn taxi service from the airport to Grand Hotel and return is readily available. ## By Ferry: (N) To Mackinac Island can be accessed by driving to Mackinac City (on Michigan´s lower peninsula) or St Ignace (upper peninsula).
